Teresa Klamert, born and raised in Munich, started her career in the film and television industry at the age of 13. She landed her first role in the popular television series FORSTHAUS FALKENAU through a casting call and became known to millions of viewers virtually overnight. Teresa Klamert played the role of ‘Jenny Leitner,’ daughter of the forester ‘Stefan Leitner’ (Hardy Krüger), from 2007 until the series finale in 2013.
From then on, the actress became an integral part of the German television landscape, with appearances in well-known series such as MEINE WUNDERBARE FAMILIE (ZDF, 2010), DER ALTE (ZDF, 2012/2013), KREUZFAHRT INS GLÜCK (ZDF, 2016/2019) and DIE ROSENHEIM COPS (ZDF, 2017/2020). In 2011, she appeared as the street girl ‘Lotti’ in the BR series MÜNCHEN 7, directed by Franz Xaver Bogner, and in 2018 she played in WATZMANN ERMITTELT (ARD, directed by Carsten Fiebeler) and in 2020, Teresa Klamert gave a convincing performance in the role of the nun ‘Julia Kramer’ in BETTYS DIAGNOSE-GLAUBE UND UNGLAUBE (directed by Oliver Muth). In 2017, the actress played a leading role in the television film EINE HOCHZEIT PLATZT SELTEN ALLEIN (directed by Lancelot von Naso), alongside Michael Brandner, Inka Friedrich and Oliver Wnuk on ARD.
After graduating from high school in 2011, Teresa Klamert completed an internship at the women's magazine ‘Glamour’ and worked there as a writing student, parallel to her film and television productions. In 2014, the actress moved to London to study, where she successfully completed her degree in fashion journalism in 2017. Due to her achievements, she was selected by the fashion company ‘Dior’ for a mentorship programme supporting women in the fashion industry. During this time, Teresa Klamert also worked as a styling and visual manager and as a fashion editor.
Teresa Klamert also continued to develop her acting skills. She took private acting and singing lessons, worked with various coaches and completed her training as a Master in Acting for Screen at the renowned Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London in 2020. What began as an experiment became a passion and acting became her profession.
In film, Teresa Klamert repeatedly sought new challenges in young talent films and character roles. In 2012, she starred in LÄRMENDE STILLE (Noisy Silence), Julius Grimm's graduation film at the HFF Munich. In 2016, she appeared in Oliver Mielke's feature film VON OBEN NACH UNTEN (From Top to Bottom) and in 2019, alongside Gedeon Burkhard, in Sebastian Mattukat's THE WITCH AND THE OTTOMAN, a highly acclaimed historical drama about witch hunts.
In 2020, Teresa Klamert appeared in a leading role in the film THE COLLECTIVE (directed by Naomi Waring) in London. In the same year, the actress produced her own short film, for which she also wrote the screenplay, starred in, and designed the set and costumes. The film, entitled ENTANGLEMENT, deals with the topic of multiple personality disorder.
In 2018, Teresa Klamert gained her first stage experience in the role of Cinderella in the theatre comedy ASCHENPUTTELS SCHWESTERN (directed by Peter Preissler) at the Bayerischer Hof.
In May 2021, Teresa Klamert played a notable leading role as sociopath Julia Wegener in the series SOKO STUTTGART (directed by Daniel Helfer), followed in the summer by a leading role in the new season of the popular ZDF series LENA LORENZ (directed by Irina Popov).
For the fourth and final season of the BBC America production KILLING EVE, Teresa Klamert appeared in front of the camera in August 2021 in the role of Carolina. The filming in London was directed by Emily Atef.
In 2022, she appeared alongside Florian David Fitz and Peri Baumeister in the four-part mystery series HELLO, produced by Bon Voyage Films for Netflix. Teresa Klamert also played the lead role in WATZMANN ERMITTELT.
In 2023, Teresa Klamert starred in the ARD series IN ALLER FREUNDSCHAFT, in the cult series HUBER OHNE STALLER, directed by Carsten Fiebeler, and in an episode of the series TRAUMSCHIFF entitled ‘Utah’.
In 2024, she appeared in DIE BERGRETTER, which will be broadcast on ZDF on 17 December 2025. Teresa Klamert is currently starring as Fiona in the feature film ‘So happy it hurts’, directed by David Helmut. The film is being shot in Bali and Germany.
In 2023, Teresa Klamert won the Bunte New Faces Award style in the ‘Young Fashion Design’ category with her sustainable fashion label Lèsaya, which she founded in 2022 with her friend Lea Hustin.
Teresa Klamert speaks fluent English and Italian. Born in 1992, the actress lives in Munich.
