Johanna Götting
The year 2024 began with a cinematic bang for Johanna Götting: after winning the “German Film Award” in the “Best Film” category for “Das Lehrerzimmer” by director Ilker Çatak, her cinema debut was also nominated for an Oscar in the “Best Foreign Film” category. This was not to be expected during filming when she auditioned for the role of “Krissi” and was promptly cast.
Johanna Götting's motto in life is to keep her feet on the ground, which suits her likeable way of thinking from role to role and not taking herself too seriously despite all her successes. Johanna Götting, who was born in Hamburg, was already enthusiastic about acting - in addition to her love of singing - as a teenager, took part in private performances and landed a supporting role in the North German cult TV youth format “Die Pfefferkörner” through an audition, which finally cemented her career aspirations.

They are called up for military service, lose loved ones or have to fight for survival. Fatefully, their paths cross, forming alliances and love affairs that transcend borders. Directors Lars Jessen and Jonas Grosch discovered Johanna Götting for their very personal Wacken Open Air spectacle “The Legend of Wacken” (2023), which was acclaimed by audiences and critics alike. This was followed by her first episode role in the ARD crime series “Nord bei Nordwest” (2023), directed by fellow actor and leading actor Hinnerk Schönemann. This was followed by the ARD play “Geschmolzene Scherben” (2023), a film about the desire to escape the village and the roles and behaviors that go with it, such as everyday alcohol abuse and the difficulty of breaking free from those practiced behaviors, directed by Sabrina Sarabi.
