Axel Milberg
Axel Milberg was born in Kiel and grew up there in Düsternbrook. After graduating from the Gelehrtenschule, he began studying literature in Kiel, but soon moved to Munich, where he studied acting at the Otto Falckenberg School from 1979 to 1981. He was hired directly by Dieter Dorn at the Münchner Kammerspiele and acted almost exclusively in the theatre for the next fifteen years. With the cinema films ‘Nach Fünf im Urwald’, ‘Hannah Arendt’ and ‘Rossini’ and the television serials “Jahrestage” and ‘Es geschah am helllichten Tage’, he became known to an audience of millions and, as Klaus Borowski, is one of the most popular Tatort detectives.
He lives in Munich with his wife Judith, an art historian and painter, and their son. They have three grown-up sons from previous relationships.
