Patricia Aulitzky

Patricia Aulitzky was born in Salzburg in 1979. Her career has been anything but straightforward, very much in keeping with the tradition of her family, whose members are scattered across the globe. After completing her A-levels, this versatile artist was drawn to explore the world. Via Canada and South America, Patricia Aulitzky made her way to London, where she developed her passion for acting and singing. She then spent four years studying acting in Vienna and successfully passed her examination before the Joint Theatre Commission in 2003. She received a scholarship to study in LA, and in the same year she was already playing the title role in the hit production ‘Das Mädchen Rosemarie’ at the Capitol Theatre in Düsseldorf. She has remained loyal to the theatre to this day and can regularly be seen on stage in Salzburg, Vienna, Munich and Frankfurt/Main.

Patricia Aulitzky played her first cinema role in the film *SHOPPEN* (2006, directed by Ralf Westhoff); her breakthrough came two years later with the female lead in the box-office hit *FALCO – VERDAMMT, WIR LEBEN NOCH!* (2008), directed by Thomas Roth. This was followed by a variety of roles in film and television, including with director Sabine Derflinger in *ZWISCHEN TAG UND NACHT* (2009), with director Michael Schneider alongside Anna Maria Mühe in *ENGEL UNTER WASSER*, with Nikki Müllerschön as Senta Berger’s daughter in *ALMUTH & RITA* (2013 and 2016) and *BERLIN* (2014). In 2013, she starred in DIE SEELEN IM FEUER, directed by Urs Egger, which was screened in competition for the Bernd Burgemeister Prize at the 2014 Munich Film Festival, and in DIE SPUREN DES BÖSEN (Emmy Award 2014), directed by Andreas Prohaska, alongside Heino Ferch. At the 2017 Berlinale, Patricia Aulitzky appeared in the Austrian-German co-production *DIE BESTE ALLER WELTEN* by Adrian Goiginger. The drama, based on a true story about a seven-year-old boy and his heroin-addicted mother, celebrated its world premiere in the ‘Perspektive Deutsches Kino’ section and won the Kompass Perspektive Prize.

Between 2015 and 2018, Patricia Aulitzky regularly attracted more than 4 million viewers in the title role of the ZDF series LENA LORENZ. Following her departure in 2018, she appeared in, amongst other projects, the crime drama DRACHENJUNGFRAU, directed by Catalina Molina. In 2017 and 2018, Patricia Aulitzky was nominated for the ROMY award for ‘Best Actress’ two years running, and for the Golden Camera award for the miniseries PREGAU. In the crime series *BLIND ERMITTELT*, Patricia Aulitzky impressed audiences between 2019 and 2021 alongside Philipp Hochmair, with whom she also appeared as the ‘Buhlschaft’ at the Burgtheater in Vienna in *JEDERMANN RELOADED*.

In December 2020, Aulitzky made her debut as Inspector Lisa Kuen, playing the lead role in *DAS MÄDCHEN AUS DEM BERGSEE*, a new Tyrolean rural crime series produced by ORF. The actress also played the female lead alongside Simon Schwarz in the TV comedy *DAS GLÜCK IST EIN VOGERL*.
