Philippe Reinhardt

Swiss actor Philippe Reinhardt gained his first stage experience at the age of 8 in various roles in children's theater. He began producing short films himself and thus discovered his love for film and acting. He has since founded his own production company.

But it was only after completing his military service that Philippe Reinhardt was able to realize his dream of becoming an actor. He studied acting in Hamburg. He still maintains his contacts from that time and works closely with various well-known acting mentors on his roles, including Lioudmila Meier Babkina, Christopher Fettes, Giles Forman, Lena Lessing, and Frank Bezelt.

He played his first roles in front of the camera in Granz Henman's comedy KEIN BUND FÜRS LEBEN, Til Schweiger's cinema hit 1½ RITTER, and Rainer Matsutani's disaster film FAKTOR 8.

Philippe Reinhardt has also appeared in leading roles in various international productions, such as the comedy ZHENIKH and the blockbuster series DIVERSANT. In these roles, he has repeatedly demonstrated his talent for language. Under the coaching of director Lioudmila Meier Babkina, he learned Russian and in 2012 landed a role in Fyodor Bondarchuk's lavishly produced film STALINGRAD, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.

In 2017, Philippe Reinhardt appeared in the war drama SOBIBOR, based on true events and directed by Konstantin Khabenskiy, which was shown in German cinemas. The film deals with the uprising in the extermination camp of the same name in eastern Poland in 1943 and was entered into the 2019 Oscars for Russia.

In 2019, he thrilled cinema audiences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the quirky relationship comedy LOVE MADE EASY. In the same year, he played one of the leading roles in Stephen Dürr's German naval series TRUE NORTH. Philippe Reinhardt played a Russian spy in the German navy. He is also filming the feature film TO BE by director and actor Aleksander Kovtunets.

This was followed in 2020 by the short film BAIL by Andy Sturm in a leading role and the US-Croatian war and sports film THE MATCH. The film is based on true events from 1944 and celebrated its world premiere at the Jewish International Film Festival in New Zealand in 2021.

In autumn 2021, Philippe Reinhardt appeared in the lavish UFA production DIE DIPLOMATIN-MORD IN SANKT PETERSBURG (directed by Roland Suso Richter).

Until 2024, Philippe Reinhardt appeared in the SF series 8 MILLION (formerly: CONTAMIN - UKRAINE ON FIRE) about the struggle of a group of ‘bourgeois rebels’ against a handful of power-hungry high earners and pharmaceutical companies. He plays the leading role of the pharmaceutical villain Bucher, who, unsurprisingly, comes from Switzerland.

In order to realise the feature film GHOST BASTARD, directed by Erkan Acar, Philippe Reinhardt founded his own production company, Hadlaub Pictures, in 2024. He plays the lead role in the fast-paced comedy, a ghost with ADHD who gets on people's nerves but carries a dark secret. The film is scheduled for release in 2025/2026.

The Hungarian horror film EVER AFTER, directed by László Illés, has been completed. Philippe Reinhardt plays the role of Prince Charming, who is searching for his true love, but everything ends in chaos. And the film Yengilmaz Tokyo Goal, a boxer biopic.

In addition to his work in front of the camera, he has also appeared in various theatre roles in Germany and Switzerland since 2004.

Born in 1981, actor Philippe Reinhardt lives in Berlin and Zurich.
