Julia-Maria Köhler
Julia-Maria Köhler was born in Finsterwalde and grew up in Senftenberg in former East Germany. She gained her first experience on the stage of the local theater “Neue Bühne” as a child and was able to work on the role of Columbia in the “Rocky Horror Show” in the professional ensemble at the age of 17.
From 2001-2004, Julia studied acting at the “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Academy of Music and Theater at the Hans-Otto Institute in Leipzig and graduated with distinction. Julia won the special prize for “best German dance solo” in 2005.
After her first theater engagements at Schauspiel Chemnitz and Altenburg/Gera, Julia took on her first major leading role in the TV series “Verrückt nach Clara” (Teamworx/PRO7) in 2006. Since then, Julia has appeared in numerous leading and supporting roles in German film and television, including Maxton Hall, SOKO Köln, Ein starkes Team, Friesland, Letzte Spur Berlin, and many more. In 2023 Julia was seen in the rbb-Polizeiruf 110 “Cottbus Kopflos” as Janine Kippers.
